Jekel Loves Hyde by Beth Fantaskey

Summary: Jill Jekel has always obeyed her parents’ rules—especially the one about never opening the mysterious, old box in her father’s office. But when her dad is murdered, and her college savings disappear, she’s tempted to peek inside, as the contents might be the key to a lucrative chemistry scholarship.

To improve her odds, Jill enlists the help of gorgeous, brooding Tristen Hyde, who has his own dark secrets locked away. As the team of Jekel and Hyde, they recreate experiments based on the classic novel, hoping not only to win a prize, but to save Tristen’s sanity. Maybe his life. But Jill’s accidental taste of a formula unleashes her darkest nature and compels her to risk everything—even Tristen’s love—just for the thrill of being . . . bad.

Soon, Bianca and Lucas have orchestrated Balthazar's escape and are on the run, pursued not only by Black Cross, but by the powerful leaders of Evernight. Yet no matter how far they run, Bianca can't escape her destiny.
Bianca has always believed their love could survive anything--but can it survive what's to come?

Review:

Truly worth the year wait. I hate that I must now wait another year until Afterlife. The third book will leave you begging for more. Lucas and Bianca face many challenges in this book. I was surprised at how much their lives changed in such a short amount of time.

Claudia Gray has written a fantastic series. Any true fan of romance, or supernatural novels should run out and buy the entire series now. If you have not read Evernight, you are truly missing out an amazing new series that is sure to have everyone talking.

The Summer I Turned Pretty

Summary:

Belly measures her life in summers. Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August. Winters are simply a time to count the weeks until the next summer, a place away from the beach house, away from Susannah, and most importantly, away from Jeremiah and Conrad. They are the boys that Belly has known since her very first summer--they have been her brother figures, her crushes, and everything in between. But one summer, one terrible and wonderful summer, the more everything changes, the more it all ends up just the way it should have been all along.

Review:

The Summer I turned Pretty is great story. I find myself reading this book again and again. Jenny Han has written a story that truly hits the hearts of any female who has ever had that summer crush they just couldn’t stop thinking about.

Belly is funny and loveable. As the reader you will find yourself laughing and possibly shedding a few tears while you read what happens to this loveable character. I truly cannot wait to read the sequel this summer.

Jenny Han is a fantastic writer and I look forward to reading more from her in the future.
